my art in a Group Exhibiton

apw gallery

I am currently exhibiting 5 of my small works at the apw gallery in Staten island new york which opens tomorrow,such a big thing for me as I have not exhibited overseas before.

I was unable to attend my self as I am about to go overseas to Thailand for my annual break so this will be my last post for at least 3 weeks.

this is in response to karin taylors tiny on top

which has inspired me to complete a painting idea that I have had in my art journal for ages now.

I used old wood given to me by a builder friend of mine

acrylic paints permanent marker and varnish.the wood has a wide blue ribbon attached from which it hangs

star of the sea........
mixed media on wood 30×23 x 5 (12×9 x 2”)
I was given this big thick chunk of wood so I created star of the sea using acrylic paint and pencils permanent markers and glued gold star sequins painted the sides black and finished of with varnish,I have attached a hanger at the back or it could just sit on a mantle or bookshelf.

something is definitely fishy around here lately I cant stop painting fish I am currently working on another fish mixed media painting which I should finish soon and will post you some pics
